Phone Died

Well my phone has officially died. It has no sound, I can't receive or make calls. I no longer have an alarm so Kittie will have to wake me up in the morning. I'm going to the Alltel Store on Friday and getting a new phone. I've been avoiding getting a new phone for awhile but I don't think I can avoid it much longer. It has been randomly turning itself off and not holding a charge for the last month or so, now it won't let me make calls, enough is enough I'm getting myself a phone that works. As a college student my cell phone is very important, its is my alarm, my day planner, my only phone, my extension to the rest of the world.

In other news I'm going to my parent's house this weekend, I have a stupid appointment with my gynecologist, eekk Coopsie is not too happy about it. Its Wedensday which means I got to see Andrew for a little bit between his classes, he graduates in March YAY ANDREW!!! I had an economics test today and it frustrated me so much because I couldn't figure out much of what was on it.

First Week of The Semester

Well I've finished the first full week of the semester and I have to say, this semester is going to be busier then last. Partly because I will have more homework to do and partly because I'm going to have work harder to make sure I do well in every class. I know someone in every class but my child abuse class. Monday and Wedensday I have my econ class, which probably won't be terribly hard just alot of work. Tuesday and thursday I have child psy and stats. Child Psy will be the one I can't fall behind in because we have quizzes pretty much weekly, I'm hoping the teacher does a good job of going over the stuff in the book because the book is really confusing. Stats won't be too bad because we don't have alot of tests and a good part of our grade is group assignments that we do in class. Tuesday evening I have my Child Abuse Class which really should be required for my major because social workers will have to deal with child abuse in almost every field that they would work in except maybe if they work as a social worker at a nursing home but they still incounter it. I think that will be the easiest and the hardest class. We have 2 tests, a midterm and a final and then a couple papers so not too bad, mostly class participation, so thats the easy part. The hard part will be watching some of the videos that she said would be pretty disturbing for most of the class, so it'll probably be harder watching that and learning different ways that children are abused. Thursdays I think is my worst day because I have my social work class (swrk). The teacher is dry as a bone and basically just reads from the slides which she posts on WebCT the day after class. I'm going to have a very hard time forcing myself to go to the class. I'm thinking I might tell my boss that I can work during that time and if I don't get scheduled to work then I'll go to class but if I can work and get in a couple more hours I'll do it. I'd rather be having all my teeth pulled out without any drugs then be in the class, its 2hrs 20mins wihtout any breaks. So fridays will be my studying day and working day. Today I work 6-11pm and then Sunday 10am-4pm. Well I should be getting back to my homework. I know I'll take a break sometime and finish my sumnor quest on ffxi, I've only got one more weather pattern to catch :) and no one knows what that means unless they've done the quest and play ffxi.

New Lappy

I'm typing on my brand new laptop yes thats right Coopsie FINALLY got a new laptop. I'm so excited, its a little bigger then I thought it would be but its lighter then my old one and it works a whole bunch better. She's all shiny I have named her Amber, ok I didn't name her, Andrew did. I went shopping today and got foods for the apartment, I"m going to spend a good part of the day packing today, we'll see what the rest of the day holds.

New York

I got back yesterday evening. New York was pretty ok. I got to see my new baby "neice" Emma. It was nice seeing Tony again, he's basically my big brother. I'll get a picture up once I get a chance. Saw about half of my dad's side of the family Christmas Eve. Had lunch at my cousin Belinda's house, it was only a small gathering of 27 people. Yes I know, not that small but if you knew the size of my dad's family you'd understand. With just my first cousin's there are 20, almost all of them are married and have kids, then you have to count the aunts and uncles, there are 4 aunts and 3 uncles that we see when we're there, there's also my mom and dad then the black sheep who never comes. If we got everyone together there would be well over 50 people, and no I'm not exagerating. After lunch we went to my Uncle Mark's house, Tony and Emma and Tony's wife Gracie (family name, real name: Gloria) were there as well. Had supper at Uncle Billy's house. Elizabeth was there which was nice. Up until probably about a year ago she was angry at her dad for remarrying even though it had been over 10years since her mother had passed away. It was nice to hear her call Sandy mom and you could tell that all had been forgiven and that they were getting pretty close. Now we're done with Dad's side. Had hot chocolate and cookies at my mom's sister's house and opened some presents since my aunt had to work Christmas Day. I got the most awesome pajama pants, they are Buffalo Bills pants, ok so they're pink but i don't care because its got the Bills icon on it. Christmas Day was pretty quiet, opened one gift at Papa's house where were staying and had the Christmas Dinner. After dinner we played swipes and my sister Joy got the new nickname from Papa, #6. She kept taking the chips and dice from him so he just started calling her #6 since she's the 6th granddaugther. Tuesday we went shopping with dad's sister Barb and her daughter Melissa who's getting married soon. We first went to IHOP then shopping. Wedensday we went home, its so good to be home.

Finally Done

So I'm now offically done with exams, which means I am done for the semester, it feels so good. The government exam wasn't too bad. My teacher let me skip the essay since I had already written one so I just had to concentrate on the multiple choice. The multiple choice wasn't too horrible, but still hard because its government. Yesterday I worked, last shift of the semester YAYS and BOOS. It was ok, nothing too exciting except one costumer decided to scare the crap out of me. I was talking to my manager about something and he was standing behind the drink machine so my manager could see him on the moniter but I didn't and when I went over there he jumped out and screamed at me. Woke me up and scared the crap out of me. PEOPLE DON"T TRY THAT! I also slipped and fell walking down the hill after work and totally twisted my ankle, now it hurts so you can just call me gimpy until it gets better which shouldn't be too long. Today was MY LAST EXAM!!!! Bio exam I think went pretty well but I won't know for about a week how I did. Now I'm just hanging out deciding if I want to clean or sleep or both.

Str

This week is going to be stressful and already is. Monday I have my government exam, this is the one I'm most worried about. Tuesday I'm just going to study, if Chelsey wants to join me before three she may (hint). I work 3-10 Tuesday, that should be my last day for the semester. Wedensday I have my bio exam at 8am and then nothing till about 4ish when we have our christmas party for me and my neighbors Chelsey and Lauren. I'll be so happy to be done. I'm totally going to demand massages from andrew when I see him Wedensday.
